Woman gets seizure after beating from teen girls in McDonalds

In a McDonald's restaurant in Baltimore, a 22 years old white (wtf?) woman went into a severe epliteptical looking seizure, after she was beaten and kicked for minutes by 2 black (ahum) teen girls. They were both 14 and 18 years old, and got arrested. The staff was also behaving inappropriate by doing hardly anything, and even laughing while filming the event.

They assume the "blind attack" happened after a discussion in the toilets. The two teen girls suddenly started to beat the woman.

First of all - pretty racist title. It doesn’t matter whether the person is black or white. Yet they had to place this title in a way to get racist remarks to spark up - which indeed happened in the newspaper comments section. The two girls could have gone bezerk because she was making extremely racist remarks for example. This is all very unclear, but a clear stigma is placed within the article already.

Fighting and beating someone up is in no way justifiable, but it merely shows the way we raise the children of this world. We set the example as adults, which the children will copy and carry on into their future behavior. And it is not only their direct environment that has influence, but also TV shows, magazines and various forms of media.

Within a world that is driven by profit, you create beings that are products of that profit and ego driven system. Thus what do we expect? We allow animal testing for vanity, we allow movies and cartoons projecting judgment, superficiallness, ego, anger and spite, we allow gender role definitions, we allow racist undertones, we allow education to fit the profit machine which is not about realization and self honesty. This and much more, creates children, teens and adults that will blindly follow how they are programmed in this world – as what has been shown and taught to them. No self-direction, no insight and no self-responsibility. Because only when your emotions and ego totally control you, you are able to go into such extreme anger that you will be able to physically or mentally attack another person. A big button has to be pushed within you to trigger such a reaction, which you become a total slave of. And it is totally self-created. Because you allow it to consume your thoughts and direct you. And it will as well direct people to become racists, because it will make them feel better about themselves because they can blame someone else. Always pointing at another, blaming another, without having to look at self.

The world does not have to be this way, and it would be better for all if it wasn’t. But to change it, we will have to change ourselves as well, and work on a new world system that will create a better world for all. Because in that way, all of us can have the best life we can possibly have. While people all over the globe don't have sufficient safe drinking water, die of starvation, have no decent clothing to protect their body, no basic health care etc... we decide that we want to build even more things for the rich elite of this world. What does this say about our system, and about who we are?

All people should be able to spend their time observing and enjoying nature or underwater life, to relax and express themselves. Within the current system this is only possible for a small part of the world population.
Within the Equal Money movement, we are preparing the way to create a new world - for all people, all beings, and not just the lucky few.

To remove the brainwashing from the human being, we will also have to be willing to change ourselves.
While many realize this world is in fact an economic prison, not many will dare to stand up and suggest a different route be taken altogether. Reporter: “So with violence raging elsewhere in the region, for example in Bahrain and Yemen , why is Libya getting all the attention?”

Stephen: “well Libya is getting attention because America support the monarchy in Bahrain, supports the president in Yemen. But does not support Gaddafi and that’s very ironic, because around 2003, Gaddafi established (inaudible) Washington, relations were fine. He had meetings with US officials including secretary of state Clinton who expressed very warm regards for Gaddafi. Basically deceiving him, because what’s going on now was planned many months in advance .
 A military engagement like America undertakes does not just happen, it is planned a week or 2 weeks in advance  - this was planned months in advance. Neuro linguistics, there were targets to pick out, troop deployments, and the massaging of public opinion in America, preparing the US public for America again to go at war illegally – this is naked aggression against another country , but the American people have to be convinced that it is humanitarian intervention, the same idea…

Reporter:”If I can just jump in – you don’t think that this is an organic outgrowth of the other uprising that are going on in the middle east region ? You think this is something that is planned for months by the US?”

Stephen: “Absolutely, this has nothing to do with the other uprisings – the other uprisings are very legitimate.  Egypt, Yemen, the Bahranians , to Haitians, the Algerians! You hear very little about this in the US media. But Libya is all over the media and has been for weeks. Gaddafi is targeted for removal – so he is the bad guy. I am not a pro Gaddafi supporter, but he is the designated bad guy. There are lots of bad guys in the region. But the ones that Washington favorites get no criticism in the US media – there is virtually no reporting about them. So Saleh in Yemen can murder civilians – and just killed dozens a day or so ago. The same thing going on in Bahrain, Saudi troops coming in murdering civilians, occupying the country – it’s barely noticed in the west. No outrage from Obama, no outrage from Hilary Clinton – but Gaddafi, who cannot instigate the violence in Libya , he responded to it. He responded to US special forces , CIA agents, British SAS forces , going in to Libya weeks, maybe months in advance ,  in listening support, arming them, funding them, and setting them off violently against Gaddafi forces . That is called : an insurrection. No responsible leader can not respond to an insurrection. If that happened in America, if it happened in Russia – the government in either country or both absolutely would respond forcefully , as it should. Gaddafi did that .

Reporter:” The Arab league has now said that the campaign in Libya has gone beyond what they backed- do you think the multinational forces review their operations , taking that into account?”

Stephen: “Well, I saw the Arab league statement – in fact I got a reuters report on my desktop that I had just before it went on air. I honestly take that as a hollow statement because the Arab League wholeheartedly endorsed “humanitarian interventioning ” against Libya – knowing full well there is nothing what so ever planned or intended, is no humanitarian intervention going on. This is naked aggression , they know it. What did they expect, when America goes in any sort of intervention, what did they expect? No attack? Nothing what so ever? They knew this was coming. They endorsed it, and now they are complaining about civilian casualties. In any sort of hostile intervention , automatically brings with it civilian casualties. They did at least dozens – I don’t think they discovered all the ones that have happened – 3 hospitals …”

Be the change - change the being

In a world where all are valued as life - such abuse would not be tolerated. There would be no capitalism, no starvation, no poverty --> thus less reasons for people to fight and indoctrinate. Abusive leadership will not be allowed.

How will the Money-system be managed – who can be trusted?

The best solution that we’re seeing here is to have an administration – not a government – to oversee the working of the system. Yes, we’re expressly suggesting the system should be largely automated, so as to diminish any opportunities for abuse. The administration will be replaced with an entirely new administration yearly – based on majority vote from the people, whereby one can ‘be in office’ only once and then never again.
Specific training programs will be set up to teach people the nessecary skills to perform such a task – where the test will be if the person develops the skill on the one hand, but more importantly: if the person can be trusted with such a responsibility – to allways act in a way that is best for all.
Note that our current leaders don’t require to be tested on their integrity to be able to go for office – the one who is able to best deceive everyone will generally win an election, which is why this world has never changed. In an Equal money-system such forms of abuse will no longer be possible.

Various levels of "control", such as also the ability of others that can stand up when a member of administration is doing something what is bad for a certain group for example.

Earthquake and tsunami in Japan - what in the equal money system?

"BANGKOK, Thailand — Japan’s biggest quake in modern times ravaged the nation’s northeast coast Friday with 30-foot high waves and violent tremors.

Waves moving at an estimated 500 miles per hour surged onto the coast of Sendai, a city of roughly 1 million. The tsunami, caused by an 8.9-magnitude offshore earthquake, has left at least 30 dead so far, according to Japanese news outlets.

Once ashore, the tsunami took the form of a rolling, miles-wide sludge that consumed everything in its path. The fast-moving brown water, choked with power lines, homes and other debris, was captured by airborne videographers from NHK, Japan’s national public broadcasting company. The earthquakes and the tsunami caused by it in Japan caused many deaths and injuries, infrastructures lost, electricity loss, lack of food and also probably radioactive contamination. People are advised not to drink from the water and wear wet cloth around their body when they have to leave their house. The reactors are now claimed to be on a meltdown but this is unsure.

There is a lot of damage and they predict problems with getting sufficient food to all the people. So this will cost lots of money. Charities are beings raised up for people to donate and “help”. Let me say first of all, I am not opposed to sending help to those areas. If I was in that area I would want to be helped as well.

But we have to take this and learn from it, as we should have learned ages ago. That the system currently in place – is not the best system to take care of such problems. It depends on money to fix these problems. It “waits” for money to come in order to help.  Our capitalist system does not do what is best for all, and create products that break down fast of low quality, so people can buy new ones and work for it, to boost the economy. It is the same with a lot of things, including houses which are not build taking in consideration the environment. The houses (often in poor areas) are build in a way that they can easily be destroyed. Poor quality material, or work finished to fast to make more profit. And if disaster strikes then … it is even worse than if we would have build things with the highest quality, and with the consideration of the environment.

The Equal money system is not based on today’s money, it is not based on profit. It is about sustainability, about creating quality, taking inconsideration the life around us, the environment, the weather etc… Taking care of each other, as 1 world people. Not allowing another country to live in poverty while we prosper. Not allowing another country to create shit conditions while we have the technology and ability to do better.  When a natural disaster strikes then, the impact will be less.

We also need transparency and not a media who gives different messages to entertain the readers. Or companies or government hiding the facts because it may mean profit loss for them.

In an Equal money system there will be no need to ask donations from people, because the system will provide it regardless. As the basic agreement of “to do what is best for all”. And do our very best to deal with that situation. Also having people live in safer areas and avoiding unsafe living areas in this world. People often say “overpopulation”, but when poverty drops, birth rate drops. + there is more than enough room for even more people on this planet. Just not in capitalism . But the fact is that there are enough resources to sustain many more people. Also when scarcity is removes and people are within healthy environments with good education, many people don’t want or need children.

People often say to that : “of course what else can they do”. But this is only because we have created a world where countries are in competition with each other. Where we do not take care of each other, as equals on this planet. Being 1 world, instead of divided conflicting competitive countries. Then these kind of things could be build in “safe” zones, because people would not have to worry about “not producing enough for themselves, or falling out of the boat. What will be produced in the safe zone will also be for the other countries. And there are already a lot of safer energy ways being developed. People then comment to that saying: “those “green energy” ways don’t give us sufficient power”.
But let’s look at that. Why do we need so much power/energy? Because of the massive production our capitalist system requires. So many products we don”t need, purely to make profit! People are manipulated into desiring them, thinking they need them. Just think about all the different brands of make up, or other cosmetics, or shampoo’s, candy, junk food, shoes, little useless gadgets, etc… sooooooooo much crap.  Much crap we don’t need . And what does that crap require?
That’s right. à Jobs
And what else? à people who desire those products
what more? à a system that tells people they need those products so that the people know they desire it. (kinda sick).
more? à workers who will make those products
something else? à workers doing shit low paid jobs, manufacturing the crap, because they need to survive.
And alllllllll that massive production to keep the profit machine going, needs a lot of energy, to fuel all the factories and production. If that system would be stopped, imagine how much less energy we would require!

The only worry then is, if humanity will be able to lay aside their selfish desires, their ego, greed and desire to want more at the cost of life itself.
Because the fact is that we can do this, the only problem is: will people step up and do it? Or will we keep abusing because of our self interest? Are we willing to let go of the crap, for a better world for all?
It is either giving up some of the crap you don’t really need, in exchange of a great life of dignity and enjoyment. Or keeping the crap, letting abuse continue and having to bust your ass off until you are 65 years off (if it is not more by then). There is much to be considered people, much. This blog post is pretty short although it may seem long to some. That is why we require to connect the dots for ourselves, investigate, research, see what is possible, see who you are, and who you are willing to be.

Water for the world

Currently there are a lot of people in this World with no access to sufficient water or safe water.This blog post is to investigate how safe and sufficient water can be distributed to all in an Equal money system.

 

No need to re-invent the wheel. There are already solutions to this problem – the system is just not support it because of money and lack of real care.
In an equal money system this will not be the case, because an equal money system means = to do what is the best for all, the best of what is possible at this moment. No profit, no money will decide what is done. What is able to be done will be decided by what is REALLY the limit of what we can do, the BEST we can do at that time.

There are enough people willing to help the world, there are enough people willing to lend their hands, contribute. A lot of people these days simply don’t know how to and end up not doing anything. All of this can change, by creating a network within the equal money system that will be transparent for all, with all the directions how one can help. When profit is no longer the driving force, it opens up to who we really are.

Because we have just been made to accept the way the current system works. To think that we are greedy and will always be, that people only do things for profit. No, this is a creation! Many people want to help out, stop abuse when they see it. This system just does not support the necessary tools for people to realize this, it brainwashes people to obey to the profit machine and accept it as the only truth, as inevitable, as something that just cannot go away.
Take a moment to watch some documentaries about tribes, or go visit them, see how they work together, without money, for the best intrest of the group.

In an equal money system, all the worlds people are responsible of each other. We will have to make agreements to take care of each other, profit wont be the motor anymore. So people will then learn that it is a much better way of living, then within a capitalist system. Because we will have more freedom, to express ourselves, do what we enjoy, develop new skills without having to think about survival all the time. We need less production, because capitalism requires massive production of unescessary items to keep profit coming in.

One in eight people in the world do not have access to safe water.

Many women and children in rural areas in developing countries spend hours each day walking kilometres to collect water from unprotected sources such as open wells, muddy dugouts or streams. 

In urban areas they collect it from polluted waterways or pay high prices to buy it from vendors who obtain it from dubious sources. The water is often dirty and unsafe, but they have no alternative.

Carrying the heavy water containers back home is an exhausting task, which takes up valuable time and energy. It often prevents women from doing vital domestic or income generating work and stops children from going to school.

Diarrhoeal diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation, such as cholera, typhoid and dysentery, are common across the developing world - killing 4,000 children every single day.

People suffering from these diseases or caring for children who are ill from them are often unable to work to earn money, yet face large medical bills.

There is an urgent need for action, but all too often water and sanitation are overlooked in global development agenda, despite being consistently cited as top priorities by communities themselves.

Total global investments in water and sanitation would need to double for the Millennium Development Goal targets of halving the proportions of people living without water and sanitation by 2015 to be met.

WaterAid addresses global water and sanitation problems by:

o    Undertaking projects to enable communities to set up and manage water and sanitation systems in 26 countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific region

o    Campaigning for others, such as governments, to adopt a more integrated approach to development that recognises how water and sanitation are vital in poverty reduction

Our projects

Our water projects help communities to gain access to uncontaminated water sources.

In rural areas the most common technologies we use are hand-dug wells, tubewells or boreholes that reach groundwater resources. Where possible we rehabilitate existing wells that have fallen into disrepair, as it is more cost effective than the construction of new wells.

The wells are hygienically sealed and fitted with appropriate pumps that the communities are trained to maintain and service themselves, with help from engineers available for serious problems.

Where groundwater is inaccessible or in short supply, rainwater harvesting can be a viable alternative or supplementary source. Rainwater is generally collected from roofs, from where it is filtered and stored in tanks. In mountainous areas, springs can be protected and gravity flow systems are used to pipe water downhill to a network of storage tanks and tapstands.

In urban areas where there are existing piped water supplies, WaterAid and our partner organisations often help communities to negotiate with the local government or water suppliers to extend the network into their areas and construct communal tapstands that can be managed by the communities themselves.

Our projects' impact

Once communities have access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education, they can escape the water and sanitation poverty trap. Freed up from hours of water collection and the misery of water-related disease, communities are better able to channel their time and energy into more productive activities and simple enjoyment of life.

o    Women have more time to work to earn money, grow food and cook and care for their children, which boosts households' income, nutrition and health.

o    Children have more time to help with domestic tasks or dedicate to their schooling, which improves their long-term prospects

o    The stress on household finances is reduced by the reduced need for medical care for water-related diseases.

o    Families also report lower stress levels, increased status and self-esteem and increased ability to observe religious rites and customs.

Influencing others

Due to the scale of the problem WaterAid recognises that it cannot meet the global water and sanitation needs simply through implementing water and sanitation projects itself.

WaterAid also uses its experience, research and good practice to influence other organisations on adopting policies and practices that will enable the poor to gain sustainable access to safe water and sanitation.

A highly professional and integrated approach has given WaterAid an authoritative voice in the water sector. We use this voice to support campaigns, build networks and develop alliances with other international bodies dedicated to the interests of poor people.

Through this work WaterAid is enabling citizens to hold their governments to account and make their demands for affordable and equitable water and sanitation services better heard and prioritised.

Zeitgeist and self change

I have been a member on the zeitgeist forum (venus project) for a while now, and what I keep seeing is arguing on the forums. Right now there was a member who often seems to be "lashing out" to others and later on said "it is human nature", "we all make mistakes". As if that justifies a behavior?
And I realise, as long as zeitgeist movement only focusses on the outer change, the design of the new systems etc... it is not going to be enough to bring forth a ral lasting change. We require a strong group if we want to change the working of the world. A group that stands with the same principle and is able to direct themselves instead of being directed by our programming.
Because if we would all just allow ourselves to be directed by the way we are all programmed within our upbringings and cultures, then we could argue forever. Because people would follow the ways taught to them without really looking at what is best and most practicle to do. And I know , it is not an easy task because of the extend of different prorgamming in this world. Thats why we have to have 1 common point to stand by. And within the Equal money system that is = to do what is best for all. Thus OBJECTIVLY. What is best, not based on a subjective thing such as people saying "jezus christ is whats best for all". Thats simply a believe. What is best for all is for example that all have basic living, food, health care, access to education etc...
And it will have to go step by step, using money to make it happen. Because you cant just BOOM place a new system right here, it takes much time and preparation. People have accepted gradual change always, thats how capitalism survives aswell. Very sneakily and slowly, things are put in place and no one really notices it because it goes slowly and people follow the flow. When you do things fast like a bomb, then things turn into chaos and people often tend to move towards fascism and toletarian regimes.
Where does it have to start? With giving people the opportunity to take a look at their lives and who they are and how the world works. An equal income will give that time. And from there on we can move on, by implementing gradual change in the ways things work (through the political route). Such as education that is more centered on what is really going on in the world, self expression and practicality to live, as well as the knowledge necessary to develop things the best way possible. Health care becomes a system of true care, not dependent on profit.
Money can be use deffectivly to move things around when it is not based on profit and abuse. If we cannot be trusted with money then we cannot be trusted without money it is as simple as that. If people can be tempted to do bad shit with money, then they can be tempted by other means aswell. We once did not have any money and at one point we did. So we already got tempted to create abuse and inequality, even before money was around. We made it, invented it.

And if we cannot change ourselves and agree on a 1 point = what is best for all. Then abuse will not stop because abusers will be allowed to go their ways. Because people do not stand up together, for whatever reasons they may have (fear, desire, depression, doubt...).
When one wants to do something it is all good as long as it is not abusing another, such as what happens now for example with the whole sweatshop workers, or animal testing for make up. I often use those examples because that is just fucked up beyond understanding.

So the Zeitgeist forum, does not take in consideration how humanity is programmed. Not enough anyway. It talks about first setting up new systems and creating new cities. But you know also, you need a large piece of land, and a lot of money. Money. Because in the current world, no change can happen without it.

When people worldwide, who want a true change in the world, stand up and get jobs of influence, emerge themselves in the system, then we can form a network to truly change things. So far those that desire power have been in control, filled with self-intrest. What if those that dont desire power, and want a change for the best of all, get to such positions? And what if this happens worldwide? Using the system but not being off the system. In that way those in power right now cant do anything about it, since you will then have a full network of people in higher positions all across the world. Who will have influence on the way things work and the votes of the people will do the rest. Because the majority of the worlds people, are living in poverty.

Education - 1 ear in, out the other?

Our educational system is designed to get "the right people" into the "right place". It needs people that can function in the system we currently have. Which is a system of inequality and capitalism.
From a young age we get trained to memorize and repeat. Not only in the schooling system but also through for example - the media. Human beings are treated like objects who are potential buyers. The commercials and adds are made to create desires in people so that they will want to buy things, so more jobs can be created for those things, and more stuff can thus be sold and boost the economy.
Never mind the sweatshop workers, the animal abuse, or environmental destruction...

I remember during my schoolyears I had to repeat a lot of things. For my tests I had to memorize so much, and all the students did it and then "spilled it out" on the exams and forget all about it. There were not much practicle things included and we also did not learn anything about how our system really works. We didnt learn how our economy supports worldwide poverty, how the banking system lives on debt, how to live self-honestly, why criminals become criminals, how sweatshop workers get abused for consumer goods, how animals are being tested on for vanity etc...
You get to learn a lot about the superficial things but not the more important topics. We would for example learn about jail or avoiding bad people, but we would never learn about why people become "bad" in the first place. And how to investigate our own behavior and character.

So throughout the years, students develop the tendency to repeat, memorize, and dont give a fuck.
Now in university there are much cooler classes where there are some teachers who give very valuable information about how the world works. We have one teacher who spoke out about how charity does not adress the core of the issue of poverty, and how charity is being used as a hype for people to temporarily feel good. As if they are contributing to something good and then can go on with their lives of not really giving a fuck. It sounds harsh but thats the reality. If it was your child starving in another country, you would not do the same and be rather apathetic.
While I was studying my books and courses for these exams, I came across many interesting topics. And I thought to myself how cool it was that this is being exposed and that other students will learn from it. Like about socialisation and how people are made into consumers to boost the system. But then later on when I talk to students I notice they haven't learned a thing from it. As if its just "school stuff". But that school stuff actually had some substance.

And I asked myself; is that because of the habbit we are brought up within, the habbit of "laying back" of not caring, of relativity ? Everything is not relative! There is a specific purpose and goal behind a commercial. There is a specific goal behind the system. Its not just something thats there and you can have a different opinion about. It has a set standard which it created for to reach it. And as long as we do not take self-responsebility to create a better world, we will continue to just walk as slaves and do as we are told. But its subliminal because no one is pointing at you like a dictator saying "DO THIS NOW!!". Its all done subtle so you wont notice it. Through the cultural upbringing, the millions of adds you see during your life, all those around you who have gone through the same things and thus support it themselves and influence you to follow along. The tv shows that present the dominant culture so that it all feels so normal. Critical thinking was not part of my schoolyears, it only has become a part of the schooldays now, because of different teachers. But all the years previous was a serious lack of critical thinking.

In an Equal money system, we would make sure that children are taught what is practicle, and what is real and what will develop their own critical thinking. Where they will not just follow along, and also get the room to express themselves. Also we will not allow any manipulative commercials which treat living beings as objects for profit.
There is much to consider and we cannot wait on feelings to start to move. Because if we only wait until we feel something, that means you are a slave to your feelings. Which are programmed, and then we could wait forever. Thats why some people react to 1 thing but not towards another thing.
If we support this system it means we also support all its outflows, the war, the creation of criminals, of poverty, sweatshop abuse, animal testing for vanity, abuse of nature etc...

So investigate the equal money system, and decide where you want to stand in this life.

Divide and conquer

That is the current status of our world.
Billions of opinions, believes, traditions, personal agenda's etc... People using those against each other to have their desires fulfilled, what THEY want. We have done this for a very long time, and that is why things have never really changed. Starvation is still here, slavery is still here, exploitation of the "weak" is still here, corruption and manipulation is still here ... And as long as we allow our personal intrest above the best intrest of ALL, we will continue to build and manifest things that create seperation and divide the beings on earth.

When are we going to take a step back and look at ourselves, all our opinions, our believes, our lives in totality - and come to realise how we have become this way. That it was not free will, that it was not our own free choice, but because of our programmed choice, our programmed personality, our programmed being. Their are so many things influencing a child when it is growing up, do you really think it had no effect on you? That who you are right now is simply who you are? Are you willing to accept yourself as merely a programmed robot, and simply accept you feelings and thoughts as if they are your gods? While blaming the antrocities in this world, blaming the fucked up system, blaming all things going wrong?
If you are not willing to change the essence/core of the problem, then dont complain. To not want to change, you are allowing it.
The people doing the antrocities and abusive things, have been programmed aswell. Born in their shoes you would probably done the same thing. People who are in survival situations sometimes have to resort to cruel ways of survival, just to survive.
Our system, our money system , is controlled and ruled by people with personal agenda's, who have not looked at the totality of the programming in this world, who do not look for the good of ALL on the planet. They have not stopped themselves from following their programmed feelings and thoughts and will be steered by their reactions. So thats why everything has always failed - every single system that has ever existed on this planet. The change truly has to start with ourselves, dont use that quote in vain 'be the change you want to see in this world'. Live it and apply it, dont just repeat it. Investigate why people are the way they are, how the rapist became the rapist, how the serial killer became it, how the religious person became religious. Check out the internal mechanisms and mind constructs, look at the history, and see how that shapes our entire world. In that way you will stop the blame, and take responsability. Blame does not help anyone, blame is purely pointing fingers. And as they say, when you point fingers - 4 are pointing back at you. If you understand why people become the way you are, then you can start to look at the solutions for this. And you will soon come to the conclusion that the solution is changing the system, and thus changing the core of programming, changing the way children are raised and what is being supported within individuals.
If that changes towards the best for all, then that creates new human beings who can from the beginning of their lives, start to be self-honest and express themselves, and not be controlled by money and profit and egoism.
As long as this money system is in place - which is based on making profit and competition - abuse will happen over and over again. You may be rich now, but you may be poor and suffering the next moment.
Just look at what we allow in this society!
- items made by sweatshop workers
- items for vanity for example, tested on animals
- inplanting desires in people and children to buy buy buy in order to get the economy going

Because with out huge production our system cannot exist, and without people DESIRING to consume a lot, we cannot sustain the high production. So we need to have a lot of people that desire to have/buy a lot of things. And thats where the media commes in, and peer pressure, and judgement. So that you will be afraid of others opinions and will always do your best to fit it, thinking you will be happier when you have this or that or look this or that way. Always looking outside there, instead of working on who you are and why you are the way you are.
This system not only creates selfish individuals and abusers, but it also punishes its own creation. Because then the abusers are thrown into jail. And it also creates lazy people, and suicidal people. Why? Because the whole system is driven by superficialism and money, which is very limiting in terms of self expression and "freedom". People have to participate in that abusive system where vanity and ego is placed on top. Thinking it will fulfill them. Obviously it doesnt. No wonder people become lazy and suicidal in a system like this.

We can't expect the poor to limit their family sizes when they need children to help support their family

While overpopulation is a problem that plagues many developing nations, it would be wrong to assume that it is their main problem, or that the countering of overpopulation should receive priority above all else. There are more serious problems facing the third world. Poverty and the unequal distribution of wealth are two that must be dealt with first.

There are many people who argue that the biggest problem in South Asia is overpopulation. This assertion has been repeated so often over the years that it has almost become common wisdom. Its adherents include a lot of well-educated individuals and one often hears the argument from government officials as an explanation for the inability to reduce poverty.

There are a number of problems with this simple proposition. First of all, population is not a very useful measure by itself simply because it fails to account for the size of the land in which the population resides. Some countries like Russia have a very large area while others like Singapore have a very small one. Therefore the appropriate indicator to use in order to make valid comparisons is population density (i.e., population per unit of land area).


Using this indicator one would find, for example, that Belgium has a very high population density, Pakistan is in the middle, and Somalia ranks very low. Of these countries, Belgium is not the one with the most difficulties. Nor does Somalia have the fewest. Just looking at population or population density tells us very little about a society’s problems.

Within individual countries we can find similar situations. Take Pakistan, for example. Balochistan has the lowest population density amongst the provinces. But Balochistan is by no means better off than the other provinces because of its low population and population density.

This raises an interesting issue for those who subscribe to the overpopulation hypothesis. Would Balochistan, with all its natural resources and its small population, be much better off if it were a sovereign country by itself? I am sure the believers of the hypothesis would quickly find many arguments to refute the implication of their own assertion. The question would force them to abandon the simple answer and start thinking of the many other factors that actually influence economic and social development.

Consider another interesting situation. When Bangladesh became independent, what remained of Pakistan lost more than half its population and the small part of its land area that was widely believed to have been a drain on the resources of West Pakistan. Did the significant reduction in population and the removal of the resource drain trigger an immediate economic boom in Pakistan? And if not, why not? The simple relationship of population and development fails to provide an answer to the question.

The second point to consider is that even population density is an incomplete measure because all the land in a country is not equally valuable when it comes to supporting its population. Deserts and mountains are of little value in this regard. It is the habitable and cultivable land that matters.

Japan and China both have relatively small endowments of such land while the latter has the largest population in the world. Yet Japan, despite its relative lack of natural resources, is amongst the richest countries in the world. And China has been recording very high economic growth rates for many years lifting millions of its people out of poverty. The simple proposition fails to explain much of what has been going on in these two countries either.

As a matter of fact, one could quite plausibly argue that poverty is not due to overpopulation. Rather, overpopulation could well be a result of poverty. Empirical evidence shows clearly that as households become economically better off the average family size tends to decrease.

In fact, a larger population can even be considered an advantage. Many European countries are actively encouraging their citizens to increase the size of their families. So is Singapore — a very small and densely populated island. Global firms are keen to invest in highly populated countries like India and China because of their large consumer markets.

The issue is obviously not as simple as it seems. The point of these stark and somewhat extreme examples is to stress the need to abandon the simple explanation for the problem of poverty.
Only then would we be able to debate the real causes and reasons for the slow pace of development.

The belief in overpopulation as the cause of poverty encourages a sense of helplessness because there is no obvious solution. Even if we accept that South Asia is overpopulated what are we going to do with all the people who are already here? We need to think of people as a source of strength and not as a problem. The sensible strategy would be to invest in people to make then as productive as possible in order to promote economic development and reduce poverty.

The real cause of this is the capitalistic consumerist system that we allow to exist.
if you havent already, I strongly suggest to watch the movie "capitalism: a love story". It is specifically designed to have some at the top that exploit those on the bottom.  We can turn this around if we want and decide to! We can stand together for a new system, a system of life and cooperation. Where peoples basic needs are taken care off unconditionally, and where one can work for more money, where children are in school not programmed to just be consumers and producers, but to develop self trust and trust in each other, cooperation, and self-expression. This will nto result in an amount of people that would want to live on wellfare, but people that actually have a drive for life and want to express themselves. Because its not so strange that these days people get more and more depressed and often dont want to do much. In such a restricted superficial boxed up world, there is little room for anything else then the profit machine.

The assignment's 'heading' was as follows - 'Social change can be thoughts of as a two-fold process, existing on a continuum and taking place somewhere between technological innovation (social evolution) and belief system (social revolution). Interestingly, evolution has a tendency to inspire revolution - an ideological shift, but not always.
(Then it goes on to explain the point of the assignment, which is to explore the relationship between social change and technology, analyzing the social consequences)

      When considering the concept “social evolution,” I disagree that this even exists. If one were to take a clear look at the state of this world, they would come to find that not much has changed since “the dawn of time.” Yes, outwardly things have changed, the clothing we wear, the tools we use, our language, certain rights and norms, but the basic cyclical pattern of how humanity has existed has remained essentially the same - brutal. There continues to be much abuse and destruction, perhaps, one could argue, more cruelty than ever before. In the vein of technological innovation pertaining to social evolution, what good is technology when we can’t even find a solution to ensure that each human being has their basic needs met? The basic needs being proper food, water, health care, shelter, and education. Inequality is the fundamental cause of suffering in this world. What benefit does the invention of an alarm clock bring, if we aren’t able to last long enough to wake up?

     If technological innovation goes hand in hand with beliefs systems to create social change, that doesn’t signify real change, because the so called “change” is still within the existing abusive structure, and any belief system contained within the system as it is, like a 1+1=2 equation, simply perpetuates and accumulates more abuse. This is especially true if one becomes attached to their belief system to the point of possession, and is no longer able to see beyond their limited belief. If one were to look at this world as if it were a human body, and, for example, the entire body is infected with a diseased and is treated for only one specific area, it will not make the disease go away. This can give a better understanding of the futility of “social change” that is not taking all life into consideration. Social change, as it currently exists, is purely a continuum continuing the same destruction, no matter what side of the polarity.

     We manufacture technology that is built to break, sometimes within only six months to a few years. This reminds me of when I tried to inform my grandmother once of the truth behind recycling; she replied, “as long as I don’t see it in my space anymore, I don’t care where it goes.” That “out of sight, out of mind” mentality is precisely why half of this world is living in such dire conditions; as long as we are benefiting, why should we care who suffers? It has been stated that technology has given people the ability to live a more comfortable life, that it has improved our health, but, one must ask, comfort for who? Health for who? Those with money? At who’s expense? These are important questions to ask when considering the relationship between social change and technology. Where does all this waste go after it’s tossed aside for the next upgrade? Studies have shown that much of the electronic waste (e-waste) that people from the developed world believe is being dealt with properly, is being shipped to third-world countries, not where it gets donated, but where scavengers pick it apart thus being exposed to the harmful metals which also leach into the water and soil leading to poor health for entire villages. Instead of exploring a particular technology and its social consequences, I will be articulating how the belief system that is behind recycling affects this world. Recycling is directly related to technology, which brings me back to one of my previous questions about what good is technology if we can’t even find a solution that is able to ensure a dignified life for all?

     In an article put out by Smithsonian entitled “E-gad! Americans discard more than 100 million computers, cellphones and other electronic devices each year. As ‘e-waste’ piles up, so does concern about this growing threat to the environment,” Elizabeth Royte explains that “prolonged exposure to some of the metals in electronic devices has been shown to cause abnormal brain development in children, and nerve damage, endocrine disruption and organ damage in adults.” This answers a couple of my questions : health for who? At who’s expense?

     To fill the demand for the semiprecious metals that are required to build electronics, developing countries are exploiting their lands in order to harvest this material, which has also been proven to be a dangerous task. It’s interesting to take a look at the process of manufacturing electronics, where the components that are used in order to produce the device are obtained from places such as Africa and Asia, then are sold to people in the United States, Canada, and Europe, and then dumped back to Africa and Asia to be dealt with. This illustrates the manifestation of exploitation being carried out on multiple levels: the exploitation of the land, also, in most cases, people from third world countries work in factories where they are exploited under harsh conditions to produce these electronics, then they are “enjoyed” by people in affluent countries, who, believing themselves to be recycling, or donating, have their “waste” shipped off to a developing country, the devises are then stripped by individuals who are exposed to the harmful chemicals which then leach into the water and soil, and the perpetuated cycle of exploitation, or the continuum of winner and loser continues. Are the “benefits” of technology, then, beneficial for all? No.

     The article goes on to relay with more specificity what the process of stripping these devices look like, after investigators from the Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition (SVTC) “videotaped men, women, and children in the Chinese village of Guiyu extracting copper yokes from monitors with chisels and hammers…black smoke rose from burning piles of wire. The workers, who wore no protective gear, reportedly swirled a mixture of hydrochloric and nitric acid--caustic, highly poisonous chemicals--in open vats, trying to extract gold from components. Afterward, they dumped the computer carcasses and the black sludge into fields and streams.”

     It’s fascinating to see the play-out of the villagers seeking to find gold amongst the filth, which can be likened to the “faith” people place in technology, believing that technology is the gold that will save this filthy world that is headed for destruction, which can be seen simply as another religion; technology, the new savior. The extraction of gold by the villagers is also a poignant reality showing how the current money system decides who lives, and who dies, who is able to be healthy, and who will live in sickness. Money, also, is another god, perhaps the ultimate god, as it were.

     The last sentence of the article sums up the general mentality of most people, even after discovering the atrocity going on in regards to e-waste: “maybe shoving the stuff in the basement or attic isn't such a bad idea after all.” This merely encourages complacency; basically telling people to just sweep all the lies and deception they just read about, under the rug, and continue consuming, continue believing that this system works. This only promotes “more of the same,” which is what I touched upon previously in regards to belief systems, as it supports the same apathy already existent, and offers no practical solutions, such as simply explaining how one must take self-responsibility for the direct outflows of their actions. She also states in the sentences prior to the last, “visionaries imagine a day when electronic devices are shipped back to their makers, who design all components with safe reuse in mind.” This, also, is an interesting and telling sentence, as it alludes to a sort of “dream” that only “visionaries” can imagine, then bursts that bubble by essentially saying in the last sentence, “to hell with it, don’t try to find a solution, keep consuming, and in the mean time, while the visionaries are staring into the sky hoping for some answer to come along, just throw your waste into your basement.” This is where my grandma would agree, as long as she doesn’t have to deal with it, who cares.

     Obviously, the solution isn’t in the hands of “visionaries,” as each one of us has the vision to see the suffering that exists in this world. Therefore, we are all responsible, and we all must stand up and investigate beyond the current belief systems. As was revealed in the mentioned article, these belief systems do not promote actual social revolution, but only serve to keep one blind and justifying, especially if one lives in comfort and is reaping benefits from this unequal, fraudulent system. The ones that are fortunate enough to even read the article by use of their computer technology are the ones that are to be held accountable for the atrocity existing on this planet, which means you and I. How can we call this evolution? How can we call this revolution? Can a computer feed a starving child? No. Therefore, instead of focusing on technological “advancements," we must get back to the basics – ensuring that all are able to live a dignified life with their basic needs met. Now, if the starting point of creating technology were within the principles of equality and what is best for all, then we wouldn’t be seeing the disparity continue to grow due to our addiction of over-consuming. We must learn to forgive and see that it is necessary we started over. It’s time to stop hitting snooze on the alarm clock and actually wake up from our deep slumber.

Botox the people - Make them numb!

Today I read an article in the newspaper that more and more people are turning to botox to stop the aging process. Even teenagers are now starting to use the muscle relaxing substance, long before they start getting wrinkles. Its getting so popular that now the sellers let the product be injected by non-professionals, this increases the risk for complications. People are obsessed with looking and staying young, and you know what the sad thing is? All of that is created by money.
You may say : no, people just want to look good, it makes them feel confident, its natural look at animals etc...
Now using the animal kingdom as an excuse is pretty stupid. You can decide what you do and not have to blindly follow what you see happening in nature, if you know it is abusive and dishonest to do so. You know who you are, you see your thuoghts and feel your emotions. Either you follow it, or you direct yourself.
2nd of all, people only feel good because in the particular culture they are judged as pretty by others, and they use others judgements to feel good about themselves. Maintaining a very superficial society that does not value life, but values pictures and abuse instead.
This "beauty" is also not something universal and standard. If you look at our own cultural history - you can see that in every time period there was another form of fashion, or what was considered beautyfull. In some countries in this world, tiny crippled feet are considered beauty, or long necks, or disks in your under lip, or having wrinkles. In Mauritania for example, the fatter the more attractive. And if your divorced a few times then thats a bonus because it means your desireable. Even in our own culture there are different styles of what is considered to be beautyfull, although we always have 1 bigger mainstream style that most follow.

I am going to take our culture as an example, because I have direct experience with it. From when we are children we get bombarded with images on tv and newspapers about how we should look like. We see titles like "Get Summer-hot with your new beach body!" or "Become a guy-magnet with these killers shoes". The amount of commercials and advertisement is huge. From teeth, to hair, to clothing.... I mean your never good enough, 1 day your in and the next your out. There is always something to apparantly fix about you because, god forbid that you might suddenly be fine with the way you look and stop buying things and trying to be part of a picture of desire. God no, we cant have that now can we!
Because thats exactly whats behind it - MONEY. Beauty sells and thats why it is advertised without the consideration of all the beings that buy into it, without taking in consideration the children that are being brainwashed to be pre-occupied with their looks and forget about life itself.
And the adults reinforce this in their own children which is basicly abusing them. By treating them as less then who they are as life - and having them obey to the picture world, creating desires into them to constantly look for outside approval.

People who create these commercials, who create the adds and magazines and fashion industry, do it to SELL and make money. Because they know that people will buy into it. They make the commercials as appealing as possible, photoshopping and airbrushing, to have woman want to look like that, and write these trigger sentences to make them think they HAVE to get that. Many of the products advertised are also tested on animals and created by sweatshop workers. But thats ofcourse never shown to the consumer. Imagine seeing an add about make-up mixed with clips of animal experimentation. Man that sales would go down! See how images manipulate you? How you will only care when seeing certain things. Please dont let your desires direct you as a slave. Do your own thinking, investigate for yourself, find out what really drives you and if you really want to allow this in this world.

When I was a child my family constantly showed me off to others because I was "pretty" and had this big curly hair and everyone was like "oooooooo what a beautyfull child". What do you think that does to a child? What kind of message does it give a child to be constantly judged on the way he/she looked. It seriously fucked me up, thats what I can say. Because during my growing up, starting at a very very young age, I kept thinking about how others would see me. At 9 I remember in summer I was wearing short shorts and a tank top and I was thinking if the popular boys would notice me and that I looked pretty. WTF. I didnt even want to be with the boys I just wanted to be found pretty and seen. It got more extensive the more I participated in it and walked in this world. I was jealous about girls that looked more pretty then me and tried to fit in with the way I looked, my clothing, my hair, my face etc... At around age 14 I started to wear make-up to hide my so called "imperfections". The blue under my eyes, the pimples on my skin. I had a ritual were each day I would bring on brown foundation on my face, then blush on my cheeks, then eyeliner and mascara. I also dyed my hair and tried out different hairstyles that I knew would be seen as pretty. I were tight pants and most of my shirts showed a little bit of my belly. At age 17 I slowly started to stop that shit, I stopped wearing all make up and at that time I was a vegetarian so my family was like: you look pale, you look this and that etc... comparing it to my past, and also assuming it was because I was a vegetarian. But they never considered the fact that I simply wasnt wearing tons of make up to cover myself up. DUH! that I look more pale then. I always looked pale, from when I was a child. But now suddenly they have somethingto blame it all, and have this false image about me because I had worn make up for so long, presenting a fake image to them. I recently shaved off my hair to break through my fear of that, and to stand as a symbol against our superficial system, that places money and profit above life. It is unnacceptable to say the least. See what a fake world we have created and what we do to our children? This is what we allow people to become, this is what we allow ourselves to become.

In an equal money system this would simply not be allowed. This is extensive abuse. The value of life would not be denounced to a superficial marketing scam. We want to do whats best for all - and this is clearly NOT what is best for all. It has to stop and the sooner the better. We will create an Equality system that places LIFE as the ultimate value and not profit and money. Profit above life will be elliminated.

Influence of Media on Children & Beauty

There’s a scene in “Toddlers & Tiaras,” the TLC reality series, where 2-year-old Marleigh is perched in front of a mirror, smothering her face with blush and lipstick. She giggles as her mother attempts to hold the squealing toddler still, lathering her legs with self-tanner. “Marleigh loves to get tan,” her mom says, as the girl presses her face against the mirror.

Children’s Perception of Beauty (Newsweek)

The quote above is about Marleigh, one of the pageant girls on the show. Does anyone find something disturbing about this picture? She is two years old. Unfortunately the ridiculousness of this scene doesn’t end on screen, it is a depiction of our current generation.
What do these shows have in common? “Extreme makeover”, “I Want a Famous Face” “Little Miss Perfect” “Toddlers & Tiaras”. These are shows centered around raising the bar of what is considered the norm when it comes to beautifying our children.

With reality TV shows, thousands of beauty product commercials, air-brushed magazine ads, and beautiful celebrities adorning every movies we watch, the norm of the importance of beauty has changed dramatically. In 2004, a survey by NPD Group showed that on average, girls started to use beauty products at the age of 17. Today that average is 13.

But even that figure could be an overstatement. According to a market research firm Experian,

• 43 percent of 6 to 9 year olds are already using lipstick or lip gloss
• 38 percent are using hairstyling products
• 12 percent use other other cosmetic products

By the time they are 50 years old, an average women would have spent nearly $300,000 on just their hair and face according to Newsweek’s research on beauty trends (noted below). But is this surprising considering girls ages 11 to 14 are exposed to 500+ advertisements per day? 8 to 12 years old already spend $40+ million a month on beauty products according to NPD Group. Teenagers? $100 Million.
