Major pharmaceutical companies not intrested in cure for cancer

This is something that I simply want to share, as an example of what happens in a profit driven system. That our Health care is driven on profit, is simply insane.

Canadian researchers find a simple cure for cancer, but major pharmaceutical companies are not interested.
Researchers at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada have cured cancer last week, yet there is a little ripple in the news or in TV. It is a simple technique using very basic drug. The method employs dichloroacetate, which is currently used to treat metabolic disorders. So, there is no concern of side effects or about their long term effects.

This drug doesn’t require a patent, so anyone can employ it widely and cheaply compared to the costly cancer drugs produced by major pharmaceutical companies.

Canadian scientists tested this dichloroacetate (DCA) on human’s cells; it killed lung, breast and brain cancer cells and left the healthy cells alone. It was tested on Rats inflicted with severe tumors; their cells shrank when they were fed with water supplemented with DCA. The drug is widely available and the technique is easy to use, why the major drug companies are not involved? Or the Media interested in this find?

In human bodies there is a natural cancer fighting human cell, the mitochondria, but they need to be triggered to be effective. Scientists used to think that these mitochondria cells were damaged and thus ineffective against cancer. So they used to focus on glycolysis, which is less effective in curing cancer and more wasteful. The drug manufacturers focused on this glycolysis method to fight cancer. This DCA on the other hand doesn’t rely on glycolysis instead on mitochondria; it triggers the mitochondria which in turn fights the cancer cells.

The side effect of this is it also reactivates a process called apoptosis. You see, mitochondria contain an all-too-important self-destruct button that can't be pressed in cancer cells. Without it, tumors grow larger as cells refuse to be extinguished. Fully functioning mitochondria, thanks to DCA, can once again die.

With glycolysis turned off, the body produces less lactic acid, so the bad tissue around cancer cells doesn't break down and seed new tumors.

Pharmaceutical companies are not investing in this research because DCA method cannot be patented, without a patent they can’t make money, like they are doing now with their AIDS Patent. Since the pharmaceutical companies won’t develop this, the article says other independent laboratories should start producing this drug and do more research to confirm all the above findings and produce drugs. All the groundwork can be done in collaboration with the Universities, who will be glad to assist in such research and can develop an effective drug for curing cancer.

You can access the original research for this cancer here.

This article wants to raise awareness for this study, hope some independent companies and small startup will pick up this idea and produce these drugs, because the big companies won’t touch it for a long time.

Woman cuts herself open due to lack of money for surgery

A Chinese woman has performed surgery on herself because she could not stand the pain anymore.  She cut in her stomach with a kitchen knife to releave herself from a fluid build up, write the Chongqing Morning Post.

Wu Yuanbi (53) from Chongqing suffers from the syndrom of Budd-Chiari. One of the symptoms is fluid retention in the intestines. She has been suffering from it for 12 years, and in the beginning she saved up all her money so she could be treated. Thanks to that operation they removed 25 liters of fluid from her stomach.

But the problem returned and a new surgery would be 50.000 yuan which is about 5.400 euro , and she did not have that amount of money.

The evening of 8 may, Wu Yuanbi couldnt stand the pain anymore. She cut herself open with a kitchen knife to releave the pressure. Her husband was at work. Totally alone she went through her suffering, knowing that she could die. "But even then I would save my family a lot of missery", she said afterwards.

Saved right on time
several hours later her husband arrived and found his wife on her bed with a 10 cm long cutwound on her stomach. The woman was laying in a puddle of yellow fluid. Her intestines were portruding from her stomach. she was taken to the hospital and survived. Her condition is still critical.

Another shocking effect of our current money system, where money always has the last word. People who are born or develop such horrible conditions, are fucked when they dont have the money. Can you imagine cutting yourself open because of the unbearable pain, because you have nowhere else to turn to?
We in the elite rich countries cannot imagine such a thing. When I had surgery for my wisdom teeth, I was thankful beyond words to have some strong painkillers.

In an Equal money system this would not exist because health care would be a basic requirement of life - and thus available for all. People would be treated and get treatment without having to have a certain amount of money.

We have created a world where money is required to be helped and taken care off. Money gives us value and without it we dont have any value - because else a human being would not be left to suffer in excruciating pain.
The American Health care system also sucks big time.
The following are 25 shocking facts that prove that the entire U.S. health care industry is one giant money making scam.... (

#1 The chairman of Aetna, the third largest health insurance company in the United States, brought in a staggering 68.7 million dollar during 2010. Ron Williams exercised stock options that were worth approximately $50.3 million and he raked in an additional $18.4 million in wages and other forms of compensation.  The funny thing is that he left the company and didn't even work the whole year.

#2 The top executives at the five largest for-profit health insurance companies in the United States combined to receive nearly 200 million  in total compensation in 2009.

#3 One study found that approximately 41 percent  of working age Americans either have medical bill problems or are currently paying off medical debt.
#4 Over the last decade, the number of Americans without health insurance has risen from about 38 million to about 52 million.

#5 According to one survey, approximately 1 out of every 4 Californians under the age of 65  has absolutely no health insurance.

#6 According to a report published in The American Journal of Medicine, medical bills are a major factor in more than 60 percent of the personal bankruptcies in the United States.  Of those bankruptcies that were caused by medical bills, approximately 75 percent of them involved individuals that actually did have health insurance.

#7 Profits at U.S. health insurance companies increased by 56 percent during 2009.

#8 According to a report by Health Care for America Now, America's five biggest for-profit health insurance companies ended 2009 with a combined profit of $12.2 billion.

#9 Health insurance rate increases are getting out of control.  According to the Los Angeles Times, Blue Shield of California plans to raise rates an average of 30% to 35%, and some individual policy holders could see their health insurance premiums rise by a whopping 59 percent this year alone.

#10 According to an article on the Mother Jones website, health insurance premiums for small employers in the U.S. increased 180% between 1999 and 2009.

#11 Why are c-sections on the rise?  It is because a vaginal delivery costs approximately $5,992 on average, while a c-section costs approximately $8,558 on average.

#12 Since 2003, health insurance companies have shelled out more than $42 million in state-level campaign contributions.

#13 Between 2000 and 2006, wages in the United States increased by 3.8%, but health care premiums increased by 87%.

#14 There were more than two dozen pharmaceutical companies that made over a billion dollars in profits in 2008.

#15 Each year, tens of billions of dollars is spent on pharmaceutical marketing in the United States alone.

#16 Nearly half of all Americans now use prescription drugs on a regular basis according to a CDC report that was just released. According to the report, approximately one-third of all Americans use two or more pharmaceutical drugs, and more than ten percent of all Americans use five or more prescription drugs on a regular basis.

#17 According to the CDC, approximately three quarters of a million people a year are rushed to emergency rooms in the United States because of adverse reactions to pharmaceutical drugs.

#18 The Food and Drug Administration reported 1,742 prescription drug recalls in 2009, which was a gigantic increase from 426 drug recalls in 2008.

#19 Lawyers are certainly doing their part to contribute to soaring health care costs.  According to one recent study, the medical liability system in the United States added approximately $55.6 billion to the cost of health care in 2008.

#20 According to one doctor interviewed by Fox News, "a gunshot wound to the head, chest or abdomen" will cost $13,000 at his hospital the moment the victim comes in the door, and then there will be significant additional charges depending on how bad the wound is.

#21 In America today, if you have an illness that requires intensive care for an extended period of time, it is ridiculously really easy to rack up medical bills that total over 1 million dollars.

#22 It is estimated that hospitals overcharge Americans by about 10 billion dollars every single year.

#23 One trained medical billing advocate says that over 90 percent of the medical bills that she has audited contain "gross overcharges".

#24 It is not uncommon for insurance companies to get hospitals to knock their bills down by up to 95 percent, but if you are uninsured or you don't know how the system works then you are out of luck.

#25 According to one recent report, Americans spend approximately twice as much as residents of other developed countries on health care.

Please, let us end this madness. There is no excuse, and no amount of believed inferiority (such as 'I am just one person) will do it. Let's work together as a group to change things, and not allow any of our programmed thoughts to interfere with what we could/can/should do . And that is = to stand for a new world for all, a world of true love, true respect, dignity and value. A world not controlled by a profit driven elite, but a world controlled by the people that care about the common good of all. Because the common good of all is also the good of ourselves. Those who cannot make that connection, have a few lessons to learn.
No more mind control for power, ego and profit, no more denying living beings the right to live.

Investigate Equal money, join us and let's change this system!

Greece bailout EPIC FAIL !

Greece had the EU's second lowest Index of Economic Freedom in 2009 , and ranked 81st in the world.[1] The country had high levels of political and economic corruption and low global competitiveness in comparison to his European partners.

In 2009 Greece went into recession due to overlending in previous years.
By the end of 2009, the Greek economy faced the highest budget deficit and government debt to GDP ratios in the EU. This led to rising borrowing costs, resulting in a severe economic crisis.

At the beginning of 2010, there were renewed worries about excessive national debt.On 23 April 2010, the Greek government requested that the EU/IMF bailout package (made of relatively high-interest loans) be activated [2]. The initial the loan package was €45 billion ($61 billion).
A series of austerity measures was proposed on may 1. The proposal persuaded Germany to sign on to a 110 billion euro EU/IMF loan package over 3 years for Greece (retaining a relatively high interest of 5% for the main part of the loans, provided by the EU). On May 5, a national strike was held in opposition to the planned spending cuts and tax increases. Protest on that date was widespread and turned violent in Athens, killing three people.

The November 2010 revisions of 2009 deficit and debt levels made accomplishment of the 2010 targets even harder, and indications signal a recession harsher than originally feared.

Now the scenario is repeating in 2011. As the irish times write on May 9, 2011:
"THE EUROPEAN authorities are bracing for a new Greek bailout as anxiety intensifies over the lack of market confidence in the current €110 billion rescue plan for the country."

The reason why they were bailed out has to do with what creditors do in order to create more and more money. They collect money from the one in debt that they have loaned the money to. They want to continue to collect money from them, but if the debtor defaults, the creditor wont be able to collect any money from them.
So it is not some philanthropical idea to "save Greece", it is again: all about money/profit and self-intrest/egoism.

The question is: how many more times will Greece come to this same point. And which are the next countries to follow in line.
The economy is not fixed, and the CEO's and corporations who get massive bonuses prosper for it while the masses face unemployment and poverty. Those masses are often not even aware of this problem in the first place - because many are to busy with other things to learn about a "bailout" and how it works, or how it really happens. Lot's of people rely on hearsay and on TV and papers to tell them what is true and what is not, without any further research. Or they hear it being explained in such hard words, that they dont understand it and thus ignore it or say it is just to complicated for them, and "leave it to the experts".

It remains very easy then for those on top of the pyramid to prosper from the abuse created by our system. The population is dumbed down and often spoon fed with "little problems" that are aggravated and which makes them fight amongst each other. Because as long as they are busy with that, they wont take notice in the real core problem of why there is so many abuse on this planet - and how our very system creates it day in day out. Things like racism, nationalism and division in a country are promoted to pre-occupy and divide the population even further. I notice this a lot in my own country Belgium. People are placed divided against each other, on one side the ones who want everyone to live together in peace with care for all, and on the other side the ones who are "own people first!" and stigmatise people with a different origin. That stigma reflects in their words and behavior, which also makes the ones with a different origin react to it - like a chain effect. And they do not realise it is not a solution, it is even worsening the problem. They don't seem to care about a solution for all, they just like to be seperated and be "proud" of their country or "their people", because they can feel great that way. And rather complain instead of really working on an actual solution for this mess on Earth. It's a giant ego-boost to act as if YOUR country and people are superior, and use it as a defence against others. Very easy when you are part of the ones you praise ofcourse.

Everything on this planet is connected, our economies are not seperate. We have a responsibility for more then just ourselves and those we care about. We have 1 planet, which we all live on, and it is more than crazy that we allow psychopaths to decide the course of it. Many of our items for example are made by sweatshop workers - people who work sometime 17 hours a day for barely any money, to try and survive and often attempt suicide to get out of their horrible life. We buy those items, we are not a seperate thing from what they have to undergo. We all agree on this system - even when we stay silent.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Edmund Burke

We stay blind to the core of the issue, same as what we do with charity. We try to patch up the scars and wounds the system makes, but do not realise that that very system is re-creating those same problems at the very same moment we are trying to patch it up. It is like trying to remove water from your basement with buckets, while the water keeps flooding in. A never ending task.
If we really care - we have to go to the core!
These problems will not just go away. If you look at history, there has always been riots and wars. Sometimes a problem got stopped, but as you can see: it shapeshifts in another form or pops up somewhere else. And it will continue to do so as long as our system is so corrupt and abusive.

Now we CAN work together to change this! At Equal Money we work together on a new system without profit drive through abuse, without competition that seperates people, without debt. Simply visit the website, read and investigate. Do your own thinking and you will see how workable this idea is if you do not let your assumptions control you. It is not like communism as some seem to think, and it is not like something that has been tried before.

We are all part of life - and the way we have divided and seperated each other and ourselves is not doing anyone any good. That there is a small group in power who controls the dumbing down of the population, and the real info - is not beneficial for the masses. We deserve the truth, the most effective way of learning, the insight in who we really are, proper housing and health care etc...

So visit Equal Money!
Let's change things.

Chinese iPad factory workers have to promise not to commit suicide

[Valid Atom 1.0]

Workers in Chinese factories where iPads and iPhones are made, have to sign a contract  where they promise not to commit suicide and “cherish their lives”. The last 16 months  at least 14 employees of the Foxconn factories in China ended their lives because of horrible working conditions.

This is the slavery still existent in 2011 people – don’t let anyone tell you slavery has ended hundreds of years ago. It didn’t.

They have so sign a contract that they will cherish their life, while the companies they work for don’t even give a shit about their life and do not treasure life at all. The only reason why they want them to sign such a contract is because they could keep making profit and not lose their employees because  of suicides. This is totally unacceptable – and happening in our world day in day out, for products that a lot of us have bought, not knowing what is truly happening for those products to be made and sold.
Yet it does not have to be that way. Within an Equal money system the best quality will be produced, by workers and a lot of automation. No worker – in any job what so ever- would be exploited for profit, would be placed in horrible working conditions that drives one towards suicide. Automation would be imported to take care of the jobs it can take care of, making quality that lasts and not quantity that breaks down fast so it is replaced fast to make profit.

In the factories of the Apple-supplier in Chengdu or Shenzen, a lot of others have attempted suicide, according to an investigation of 2 ngo’s with 500.000 employees. Its about the 'Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations' and 'Students & Scholars Against Corporate Misbehaviour' (Sacom), say the  Guardian/The Observer and the Daily Mail.

Excessive overtime

According to the researchers, excessive overtime is the standard, despite the restrictions from the law of 36 hours per month. The Observer saw a paycheck from an employee that had done 98 hours of overtime in 1 month.
During the period the demand for iPads was huge, the employees could only have 1 day off per 13 (long)days.

Can you imagine doing that amount of hours every month, at a job where you have 1 day of every 13 days, standing upright for 12 hours each of those days, doing a repetitive job on a machine that makes the same gadget over and over and over continuously while you cannot even talk, and where you just barely make enough money to survive, have no time left for any social life and see your family only once a years?

Place yourself in their shoes. Are you still satisfied with our system, even though you realize things such as this? This is not “it”, there are so many cases of abuse by the system we allow in this world. Read our blogs, watch our videos – they are not made for entertainment but to expose this system, to find people who still have a heart left inside of them and who can find it within them to stand together to bring forth a true change in this world.
Complaining is easy, disapproval is easy, hiding is easy, thinking “I can’t do anything” is easy.  It is very easy and selfish.
Because if it were our children, our mother, our father, our nephew or our aunt – we would care. We would be horrified by the position they are placed in. We would be worried about their well being.

And now that it are strangers – we don’t give a flying fuck.
These people are real. Imagine that you have to stand eye in eye with every one of them. Could you say “sorry, I don’t care” or “I can’t help you”.

We can, visit
equal money – the way is being prepared to stop this.

Leontien Aarnoudse of Sacom states in The People, that the workers have no sociale life. “their life is just working in a factory and that is it.” In Chengdu 60 to 80 hours overtime per month are normal. Foxconn admits that it violates the law regards overtime, but keeps up that this is by volunteers. However, workers say they have no choice, because else they fall back on their basic pay which is 1.350 yuan (140 euro) per month for a 48-hour week.

Horrible work- and living conditions

The ‘anti-suicide clausule’ was imported after sociologists brought the bad working conditions to light. It did not help much, because according to the researchers, the workers still live in abdominal conditions, where some only see their family once a year.
They have to spend their night in dorms, where they are with 24 others. Beneath those buildings are nets, to prevent suicide. Foxconn spokesperson Louis Woo says that the suicides have no connection with the bad working conditions. “There is a copying-effect. When one kills himself, the rest follows.”

Having to build nets under the buildings so the workers would not jump to death… That is EXTREME. Shows how desperate some people feel, totally void of hope. Because many of them are trapped – their job is the only way to survive in our system. You can say “they should get a better job”. The point is: they can’t. They don’t have the options.

The last statement is also extremely abuse: “when one kills himself, the rest follows.”
As if it is a little game. Look someone killed himself, let’s do it as well! This is not a child game of look and follow. Suicide is not just something you out of the blue decide to do like: “hey, I think I am going to commit suicide today
The world is run by demons. Look no further – don’t think about poltergeist, or the devil waiting for you in hell. If you want to go to hell, you should go work there, and face the humans that do not give a shit about life, and will place profit above your life. See how much you will matter then – you will matter nothing at all. And that is the worst situation you can live in, because without being valued, you can be discarded and abused with great ease.

Shake yourself out of apathy – this is the worst disease of humanity today. Pure apathy. One of the reasons why feelings are deceptive and should not be your guideline. YOU have to become your guide, your own director, not dependant on your programmed feelings.

Several managers of the company blame employees about their suicide, saying they do it to get higher pay for their co-workers. Foxconn sais the suicides are regrettable, and admits to have some challenging months ahead. Sacom sais the company first replied to the suicides by sending monks to the factories, to exorcize bad spirits.

What is one to do , when you realizing your policy and company is causing much people into suffering? Ignorance. Telling lies and making yourself believe it. And that is exactly  what the managers do to live within the reality they maintain. However, the more you tell lies and accept it inside yourself, to more it will “ingrain” within you and will become part of your mind. It will go up to a point that it has total control over you and have infiltrated your entire being. And the apathy will make sure that it is not questioned.

They should not send monks to the factories to exorcize “bad spirits” a.k.a. demons – the managers should exorcize their own demons. It is demonic to place your own life as superior, deciding the value of others is far less than your own. Else you are not able to exploit people to such an extent. That is the demon, not the workers

Public humiliations

The research also shows that bad performing workers, are publicly rediculed, and that the workers have to stay silent while they – standing up the whole time- perform their 12 hour shifts. The required silence is according to the Foxconn spokesperson Louis Woo  for their own safety, so they would not get distracted.

About the humiliations Woo says: It is not like the company does it or encourages it. “I do not exclude that it happens, considering the diversity and size of our workforce.” The man says that the company makes effort to improve things.

As if things are not worse enough…

Code for behavior

How are such working conditions possible at an importer of Apple? The company has a behavioral code that demands employees to be treated with respect and dignity. The company sais they see those rules are followed, but according to the Daily Mail, the auditrapport from Apple shows that the suppliers in China do not live up to that norm.

The Foxconn-factory in Chengdu supplied its First iPad in november, and should have made 100 million by 2012. Apple sold more than 15 million iPads last year, and this years has sold almost 5 million already. The company made 4.1 Billion euro profit last year.. (sam)

Much profit, lots of money , created by abuse. Much profit, for items that break down fast. Profit on nr 1 , lives of human beings on nr 2 (or below).

The ones who should have a code of behavior are the employers – the companies . A code of behavior not to exploit life  , to treat beings with dignity and respect , to place life on nr 1 and not profit, and to stand as equals to their employees.  That is the code of behavior that should be existent on our planet, everywhere. The code of “what is best for all” .
The equal money system is that code – it is the creation of that code to for the first time be established on this planet.
Don’t wait up.
